After the storm

Hurricane Bill passed by Nova Scotia on August 23, Lunenburg, Guysborough and Richmond Counties saw the most spectacular effects but here in the Harbour it was relatively benign.

Here are a couple of photos showing the Baxter's Harbour waterfall before and after the storm.

Kayaks in the Harbour

This video is a bit blurry in places but I thought it was neat how they sailed through the rocks in the harbour. The bay hardly had a ripple that day with many people enjoying the harbour both on land and on the water.

A Walk To Paddy's Beach

A walk to Paddy's Beach wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Baxter's Harbour waterfall. Here it is at low tide.

The waterfall has more water flowing than usual for this time of year due to all the rain we have had this summer.

This Paddy's Beach cottager is outside enjoying the Bay of Fundy fog !

There are beautiful gardens down at Paddy's Beach, maybe it is all that fog we have been getting this summer.
