This photo was taken this afternoon by a friend who lives close by and I thank her for allowing me to post the photo. What a treat it must have been to see this amazing bird , the owl appears to be so calm and mellow just enjoying a snowy afternoon in Feb.

Cold Cloudy Day By The Bay

My daughter and her puppy Stanley and my dog Max went exploring again today along the shore. The bay of Fundy is very very cold but that did not stop Stanley from chasing the waves. The waterfall was iced over , just pure beauty !!!!

Peggy's Cove

The sun shining on the rocks . waving crashing on shore and the lighthouse guarding over the sea says Nova Scotia to me . Always by just looking at the picture I can hear the surf crashing on the rocks !

Low Tide at the Fundy Shore [part 01]

My daughter , her beautiful dog Stanley and I had a 2 hour beach walk at low tide at Long Beach , the next beach down from Baxter's Harbour . What a great day for a walk it was warm for Feb. the blue skies ,ice melting on the rocks.

Appleless Apple Pie

The morning started with snow and then turned into a mild rainy Feb . day so I decided to spent some time in the kitchen. I don't usually post items like this but this recipe amazes me. This pie taste, smells and looks like an apple pie but without any apples so I had to try it out for myself.

In the recipe it has water , sugar , cream of tarter and Ritz Crackers and I am still trying to figue it out how it works , and it does taste yummy !!!!!!!

Afterglow of a Bay of Fundy Sunset

What a great winter's Day to be able to spent 2 hours on the beach to explore the beauty of the Bay . I had to go back for the sunset , the sun had just set but the afterglow was amazing

Icy Blue

Winter is beautiful season with the snow and the ice formed on the trees . My favorite photo in this posting is the one of the heart in the brook . I was hiking with 3 dogs and they almost jumped in the brook and broke the snow around the heart . Nature is wonderful to experience no matter the season !

Winter Wonderland

This weekend we had an ice and snowstorm what a winter wonderland Mother Nature displays with the snow and ice on the trees,especially when the sun came out !

This is an image taken from the nova scotia webcam Rockcliff by the Sea on the Parrsboro side of the Bay of Fundy . The bay is so still , calm before the storm as there is a winter storm forecasted .

Sunny Winter Day Along The Bay

It was a wonderful, sunny winter day , a good day to explore the shore along the Fundy. The waves were crashing , the sky so blue , seafoam dancing on the rocks .

Halls Harbour Lighthouse History

Hall's Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada

Location: South side of Minas Channel, Bay of Fundy.

Notes:
This lighthouse was replaced by a modern structure on the end of a wharf near the location of the old lighthouse. The original wharf and lighthouse are now gone.

Description of Tower: 1911: White square wooden tower on iron pilings.

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1880

Date Deactivated: 1970

Date Automated: 1963

Current Use: Destroyed.

Keepers: Elias MacDonald, James Watson, Jesse Thorpe, William Keddy, James LeRoy Houghton (keeper for 17 1/2 years), Marion Hou
