Winter Wonderland

This weekend we had an ice and snowstorm what a winter wonderland Mother Nature displays with the snow and ice on the trees,especially when the sun came out !

This is an image taken from the nova scotia webcam Rockcliff by the Sea on the Parrsboro side of the Bay of Fundy . The bay is so still , calm before the storm as there is a winter storm forecasted .

Sunny Winter Day Along The Bay

It was a wonderful, sunny winter day , a good day to explore the shore along the Fundy. The waves were crashing , the sky so blue , seafoam dancing on the rocks .

Halls Harbour Lighthouse History

Hall's Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada

Location: South side of Minas Channel, Bay of Fundy.

Notes:
This lighthouse was replaced by a modern structure on the end of a wharf near the location of the old lighthouse. The original wharf and lighthouse are now gone.

Description of Tower: 1911: White square wooden tower on iron pilings.

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1880

Date Deactivated: 1970

Date Automated: 1963

Current Use: Destroyed.

Keepers: Elias MacDonald, James Watson, Jesse Thorpe, William Keddy, James LeRoy Houghton (keeper for 17 1/2 years), Marion Hou
